  1.  Sever on a computer provisioned with a static IP address.
  2.  Network port must be available.
  3. If the character fields are grayed out,the server must be restarted. 

 

Step 1:Assign server to an available port.Step

2: Reduce the“Vox Hold(ms)”to 300

Step3:Set“admin password”

Step 4: Set“userpassword”.This password is needed to login to the server via the SiteCAST RF gateway,VirtualBaseStationclient,smartphones.

 

Step5:Click“Edit Predefined Rooms” or groups

 

Step 6:a.Create a room by typing the name of the room.No more than10 characters including spaces.

  1. b.  Click “add”and repeat this step for each room you want to add
    1. c.  Click“OK”Step7:Click“start”

A. SiteCAST Driver Installation- radio –portables will be muted by the cable w rx volume controlled by the knob and mobiles we ship standard w audio active-we can advise on programming and pin-out for muting

B. Comport Assignment

1. Now connect the SiteCAST box using the supplied USB cable to an available USB port.

2. Right click “My Computer” and select “Manage”.

3. Select “Device Manager” from the left side of the window

5. View the port assignment for “USB Serial Port (ComX)” where X is the com port assigned to the SiteCAST.

This comport assignment can be changed if necessary.

6. Remember the com port number, because the SiteCAST software will need to be set to the same port.

C. Configuring Your Soundcard for SiteCAST

1. Double click on the “Volume Control” icon in the system tray on the bottom right corner of the windows desktop.

Hint: If the volume control icon is not in the tray, click > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control.

2. After double clicking, the volume control window

3. Adjust the “Volume Control” slider bar to at least 3/4 the way up. Make sure that the “Mute all” box is unchecked.

 

4. Next click the “Options” tab in the top left corner, then click “Properties

 

5. Select “Recording” in the “Adjust Volume for” section. Next make sure “C-Media USB Sound Device” is selected,

and that the “Microphone” box is checked in the “Show the following volume controls” section. Click “OK”.

6. A new window should appear named “Recording Control”

 

7. Select the Microphone and raise the slider bar of the

selected input to 1/2 volume.

8. Now click the “Advanced” button and make sure the microphone boost is unchecked

 

E. SiteCAST Software Setup

 

 

The shortcut can then be pasted to your desktop.

2. Now you can open SiteCAST by clicking “SiteCAST.exe” or the shortcut. The SiteCAST window should appear

4. In the Rig Control Method box select “Com Port”.

5. In the Com Port Keying box, select the com port that matches the com port in section B step 5 of this document.

Now Click “OK”.

6. The red PTT light on the SiteCAST USB box should now turn off.

7. Now Plug the RJ45 cable from the radio into the SiteCAST box.

8. The SiteCAST connection settings are now ready to be configured.
